Hi guys! If anyone is looking to purchase a Stitch Era subscription you can buy it from Colman and Company. Here is a link that leads directly to their subscription page: colmanandcompany.com/static_st…

You can also purchase a subscription through the official site. The amount 626.88 was in their currency (ARS) and I believe that my bank had trouble converting USD over to the currency they use, so that's why my transactions were declined. If anyone else has that problem you can purchase it through Colman and Company!

I've been using the old free edition to the bitter end, and delaying the paid subscription until I really needed to digitize something. Can't beat SE's Illustrator import. Thanks for the the info!

Hmm, that's about $96 in USD, that's not too bad. :)

Yeah, it's not bad! It's not free anymore but at least it's not super expensive. And there's always the express option too, but imo the standard version is the way to go.

Oh, wait, is that only for a year?

I'll probably stick with SophieSew. ^^ But considering I've seen that kind of software for $600 one-time payment, I suppose that's not too bad and it should always be up to date being a subscription, assuming they don't raise the yearly payment.

Yeah, my thought is that Stitch Era Liberty costs nearly $1000 to buy outright and by the time I would have gotten a better deal by buying it there might be a better program out!  Plus, like you said, it should always be up to date this way.  It's just too bad you have to be connected to the internet to use it.  I'm at least buying a one year subscription, but we'll see where I go after that.  I'm going to look into the Embird trial, but I really like Stitch Era, except the issue it as with undoing edits when you mirror something, but at least I've figured out a work around for that now!

I would expect that Stitch Era wouldn't require a constant internet connection if it's purchased as a subscription or otherwise (that's was a system clock is for and it's not like it couldn't tell if some actually tried changing their system clock thinking it would extend their subscription). I'm still holding out for version 2 of SophieSew. I actually got another response from the guy that is developing it on his program's facebook page! :la: www.facebook.com/pages/SophieS…

Yeah I'm sure when you pay the full price it doesn't need a connection...but I'm not about to drop $800 or $1000 or whatever it is for that!  I probably should look at SophieSew, it's just so frustrating to have to learn a new program, and isn't it pretty buggy at times?  Not that you can complain much when it's free!
