The Mane Six! by PlanetPlush The Mane Six! by PlanetPlush
The mane 6 are finally all together!

I made them as a Christmas present for myself. Pictured from left to right: Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity.

All 6 ponies are made from soft minky fabric with machine embroidered eyes and cutie mark.

These ponies are not for sale! They belong to me!

Beautiful. Do you have pattern for sale? I'm attempting to make these for my daughters bday gift. Also could I know the colors you used so I can attempt to find them at my local quilt store. How much fabric did you use? Did you put wire in rarity? Love the hat on applejack. I'm so in

Hi! I don't sell or give out my pattern but there are a few free ones here on dA. On my front page, I have links to some free patterns and websites that sell fabric. Each pony's body will take around half a yard of fabric. The manes will take a third to a half yard depending on the character. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. :]

so i'm guessing you make the outside of the pony and then stuff and them then sew it closed is the basics to making pony plushies or if that's not it then how do you make pony plushies

So, you won't make these to sell to people, ok fine, you don't want to do all that work. But you won't sell the pattern, knowing how popular these dumb things are and how much people want them? I dunno, you could be rolling in some major cash.

When you say the eyes were machine embroidered, do you mean all of the pupil and color, or just the eyelashes? Also how do you get the ears and hair to not be all flimsy? Great work! :D

The entire eye is machine embroidered. You can sew quilt batting into the mane to help it keep its shape. It makes it super soft too.

Really? Wouldnt it have been easier to paint them on, or fabric glue the cutey mark on?

Its not like these are meant for taking abuse

Embroidery is much better quality. Over time, iron ons or paint will wear away.

Same with tattoos and old graffiti but people can still re-ink at their leisure... Ya know: "Over Time"

Hell, I could order a blank flank of hoofever, then keep printing out the cutey mark on my printer...

Matter of fact, maybe a cheaper investment is a Pony Piniata... i already know how to make those things last

*goes to look up pony piniata makers*
